Inspiring action | Zina Jawadi

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once said: “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” I became inspired by Dr. King to change the lives of people with disabilities in eighth grade. I consider ableism (discrimination against people with disabilities) the kind of injustice Dr. King describes in his quote. I wish Dr. King were alive today so I could thank him for helping me spread my mission. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once said: “Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.” Today, I am spreading my message to change injustice to justice, disabilities to abilities.
